What is your ethical position?
The catholic religion have state publically that mostly their inconformism radicates from embryotic stem cells "Bible teaches that human beings are made in the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:27; 9:6) and protectable human life begins at fertilization." the killing of innocent human creatures, even if carried out to help others, constitutes an absolutely unacceptable act.-they say.
But the beginning of human life is stablished as the moment in wich the fetus has began brain functioning wich hs been detected at 54 days after conception.
Also the existence of a human being is determined after some kind of knowledge or thought (philosofically). So if a stem cell have the ability to enquire the quality of life of people then is an excelente way to make the earth better place to live, because if we only own the life but don’t aapreciate and truly live, then its empty.
Whom will the technology help? Does it have the potential to hurt anyone?
Biotechnology is the use of living cells to produce materials usefull to people. The problem starts when this tools to imrpove quality of life are transformed to make a bioweapon wich is extreamly dangerous and better payed.

What are the therapeutic uses of stem cells? What are the risks of stem cell therapies? What are the benefits of the stem cell therapies?
For the last 30 years, steam cells have been treated by bone marrow, and more recently, umbilical cord blood stem cells. These treatments have resulted very effective in oncology patients with leukemia and lymphoma. The benefits of this treatment are that during chemotherapy, the growing cells are killed by the cytotoxic agents that contain the chemo. These agents cannot differentiate the leukemia or neoplastic cells, and the hematopoietic cells within the bone marrow. The treatment of the steam cells take care of this side effect of the chemotherapy, the donor´s healthy bone marrow gives the body the new stem cells that the body have lost during treatment.
The potential treatments are within: spinal cord injuries, brain damage, cancer, heart damage, baldness, deafness, blindness, neuronal and behavioral birth defects, diabetes, within others.
Risks of having a stem cells treatment:
The first risk is having an infection. After the transplant of these cells, the body has a very low immune system until it recovers, so viruses and bacterias can appear very easy. This recover can take several weeks.
Bleeding problems from the low level of platelets-
'graft versus host disease'. This is how is called when the donor cells do not match with the patient cells. This have not major risk unless is not well treated.
Rarely, the transplanted stem cells fail to work.
What are the most important characteristics of stem cells?
First have the ability to repair by division tissue and human bodysystem. Unspecialized cells are also able to renew themselves with the Cellular divition after a period of inactivity, and physiological and experimental conditions can be manipulated to become a specific tissue or organ with specific functions, however, cells of the pancreas and heart are divided only in special conditions.

What are the stem cells?
have the potential to develop different types of cells during early life and the growth
are divided into four groups:
1.totipotent "can become any cell type"2.ploripotent "can become any type except embryotic membrane"3.multipotent "can become a number of different cell types"4.unipotent "can only became one cell type" ability to devidethe nullipotent does not have the ability to devide"
